Meet Teresa Madsen

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Meet Elliot Camarillo

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

I am a passionate supporter of the VFW, Veterans for Peace, mental health, equity and equality for all genders’ and anti-racism. I believe nothing can stop people who are determined to make changes in their lives and are given the tools to do it.

As a veteran and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I have enjoyed working with many different communities including the transgender community and I have a passion for helping both adolescents and adults during their journey through overcoming addiction, depression, anxiety, and healing from trauma and PTSD.

I believe in the strength of an individual and understand sometimes abilities can be difficult to see in times of distress. Through the use of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, I offer support to those on their journey of healing.

My goal is for you to feel empowered in knowledge of yourself and in practices that you find foster your own personal strength and growth. I believe in a strength-based and person-centered approach, offering a space free of judgment.

Why Dragonflies?

Rising Strength Therapy uses dragonflies in the logo because they represent and symbolize so much of what we believe the therapeutic process is about. Dragonflies signify hope, transformation, resiliency, transparency, flexibility, reflection, and many other powerful traits. If you desire change in your life, for whatever reason, you will experience at least some of these attributes going through therapy.

Dragonflies also represent empowerment. While Rising Strength Therapy will support you through your journey, our goal is for you to feel empowered through the process and that your strength has risen allowing you to take flight.
